2021 At Home with the Diversity Chorus
This year is the 24th season of the Des Moines Diversity Chorus.
Our fall program is titled, "At Home", with manifold meanings. Through the past year, the idea of "home" was disrupted for so many people. Many could not travel home, had to find new homes, or lost their homes entirely.
This program will reflect those struggles. However, and more importantly, it will also reflect the feelings, the memories, and the people who create our figurative home.
It will provide the opportunity to engage with the music of both local and international communities and cultures, while reflecting a message of togetherness as we venture on the road Home.

The Des Moines Diversity Chorus (DMDC) is a one-of-a-kind choral group in the greater Des Moines area, focused on encouraging respect and appreciation for people through music.

DMDC was organized in June 1997, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, receiving support and funding from a variety of individuals, grants and corporate gifts.

Our music reflects the traditions of a variety of ethnic and cultural groups.

We invite other cultural and ethnic groups and individuals to be a part of our concerts, and our chorus, to give visibility and voice to performers of varied national, ethnic, racial, religious, age, ability and sexuality backgrounds.
